Why we built ResumeHQ

We built ResumeHQ because the resume builder market is broken.

The biggest players — Zety, MyPerfectResume, LiveCareer — are all owned by the same company (BOLD LLC). They lure you in with a $2 trial, then auto-renew at $25/month and make cancellation intentionally difficult. Their “AI” is pre-written phrases that every other user gets too.

We wanted to build something different:

• Honest pricing. $19 one-time. No subscription, no auto-renewal, no tricks. The price you see is the price you pay.
• Real AI. Powered by Claude — the same AI trusted by Amazon, Notion, and DuckDuckGo. Not pre-written phrases. Unique content generated from your actual experience.
• ATS-optimized. Every template is tested against major applicant tracking systems. Your resume gets past the robots AND impresses humans.
• Respectful. We don't sell your data. We don't make cancellation hard. We don't use dark patterns. We just build a great product and charge a fair price for it.

ResumeHQ is independent. We're not owned by a conglomerate running six resume builders with the same billing playbook. We're a small team that believes job seekers deserve better tools at fair prices.
